    Random BSOD and Reboots

I recently installed Windows 7 ultimate x64 on my new WD 600Gb HD. I have tired re-installation and all kind of drivers to try to resolve the issue with no luck. I have a second hard drive that has xp on it. Everything runs perfectly in xp, i have some dump files and system health information from windows 7 as required. Can't seem to get to the bottom of it...

System info: CPU: amd 7750 OC'd to 3.2Ghz
Video Card: Zotac 8800gt Amp edition
    Mobo: Biostar TA790gx 128m
    PSU: Rosewill ~530W
Sound card: Sound blaster audigity se
RAM: 3G's of junky adata ram

Your .dmp file shows a stop error of 0x124 which is a general hardware error .

A "stop 0x124" is fundamentally different to many other types of bluescreens because it stems from a hardware complaint.

Stop 0x124 minidumps contain very little practical information, and it is therefore necessary to approach the problem as a case of hardware in an unknown state of distress.

I don't really want to back my OC down to stock because it's been running like this for probably 2 years now. Everything else on that List i have tired, my case is cooled adequately, it's clean, i have tried updating everything i can. And the last part about the Vanilla install I have tried but it still crashed. I guess i can try taking one stick of ram out, but if it works fine in xp why would it cause a problem?

    thanks for the reply

Win 7 is more finicky about ram because it has to be both for performance and security.

I guess i'll be running primarily in xp for now, I'll follow up on the ram see if it is the culprit.

    thanks for the help

Any one have any luck in this area, its been a while since I have looked into the problem. The error still occurs, not as frequently but twice in two days. I am planning on buying new ram soon (cyber Monday), just wondering if there is anything new out there.
