I honestly don't know if memtest will run from a usb, I've never tried.

The fact that almost all of them quote memory management while only a small handful point to the irq issue.
I'm leaning towards the memory management causing the interrupt request problems.
A quick sweep of your drivers found nothing known to cause constant debilitating bsod's.
Though I think you already know this.

Once again have you run the sfc check yet?
right now I'd just like to get you where windows will function to some degree.

I left it running overnight and came back to find 9 found errors.

Do I just need to replace my RAM?

Well it's enough to suggest a problem though not a really bad one.
If you are feeling patient you can over the next couple of nights try removing one ram stick while you test the other.
If you find one that hits no errors try running with it for a bit to see if your problem is solved.

Avira is suddenly finding a bunch of CmodDead viruses (viri?) in my hard drive. I've set it to do a full admin scan and it is finding tons. Could that have anything to do with it? I don't think it's actually done it's thing cos I've had no screamers.

Taken out one of the RAM sticks and have been running for about 10 mins. It's oddly faster and more responsive. I think I might have found the bad one. I don't want to start celebrating just yet but thanks for everything if it IS fixed. If not I'll probably bump this thread when it happens.

I recently (Thursday) I have been getting many BSODs like memory management or page fault in non page area. After some research, one of the most common faults seem to be with ntoskrnl.exe which indicates possible faulty RAM. I have yet to run Memtest 86 simply because I haven't had time, but I will...
