atikmdag.sys-blue screen-Pavillion DV6

I have an HP Pavillion DV6-2116sa Entertainment Laptop.When I install the supplied restore software,with Windows 7-64 bit,I get a BSOD,when it goes to load Atikmpag.sys.
I have updated all drivers,BIOS,windows updates,changed memory etc.I have spent a week trying various methods,found online,but every time I get the BSOD.I re-installed to Vista-32 bit,to see if this would solve the problem.A week later & Vista reacts the same as Windows 7-BSOD at the same point.I am including all of the requested data,regarding my fault,including a copy of Atikmpaq,which i downloaded,as my machine will only run without the graphics card sotware installed (standard VGA graphics adapter).
I have used the latest drivers for the card,which is an Ati Mobility Radeon HD 4500/5100 Series.I have used the latest version 11.7,older 10.2-driver only,11.6, 11.6a hotfix,11.6b hotfix.All crash Atikmpaq.sys.
At present it is using Vista,but I will re-install to Windows 7,when I can clear up this error.It seems to be some sort of software arguement,during boot-up,but i have looked at the crash dump files etc & i cannot see what is causing it to crash.I know some of you more knowledgeable people will be able to de-cypher the attached files & pinpoint my error.

Dont stay with vista,reinstall windows 7,are faster better and more reliable.

Then,

Follow these steps in this order,

If you didnt update chipset please do so.

Check gpu,system and cpu temperatures and post them here.

Download and install driver sweeper Phyxion.net - Driver Sweeper

Download the most recent driver for your ati,not the catalyst only the driver.
AMD Graphics Drivers & Software

Uninstall ati software/driver,restart in safe mode,run driver sweeper to clean any ati remaining fragments,restart in normal mode.

Install the new driver for your ati.

Update DirectX.

Uninstall/dont install or use vipre.

Download and install mse http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/secur...s/default.aspx

And have the windows firewall enable.

Update windows 7 using the windows update.

Then use the HP Pavillion DV6-2116sa Entertainment Laptop website and google and update everything in your laptop with the most recent drivers.

How to Find Drivers,
search Google for the name of the driver
- compare the Google results with what's installed on your system to figure out which device/program it belongs to
- visit the web site of the manufacturer of the hardware/program to get the latest drivers (DON'T use Windows Update or the Update driver function of Device Manager).
- if there are difficulties in locating them, post back with questions and someone - will help you search Google for the name of the driver

Done the steps that you have listed.I have checked the HP wesite & downloaded & installed the latest drivers they offer.Latest BIOS installed.I have used the HP Support Assistant,that says everything is up to date.DX update says I have the latest version installed.Windows Update is up to date.The HP site only offer the Catalyst installer & not just driver.11.7.Downloaded,installed & it BSG'd again-the same.
Not sure what or how to re-new the .sys files that you posted back,but i can see that they have old dates.Not sure how to get the gpu,system and cpu temperatures as i can't get into windows, with drivers installed,
I will re-install Windows 7 & try again,but i am sure it will BSG at the same point.

Download and install driver sweeper Phyxion.net - Driver Sweeper

Download the most recent driver for your ati,FROM THE ATI WEBSITE and not from anywhere else,only the driver not the catalyst. AMD Graphics Drivers & Software

Find there your graphic card then choose Individual Downloads and download only the driver.

Then follow these steps,

Uninstall ati software/driver,restart in safe mode,run driver sweeper to clean any ati remaining fragments,restart in normal mode.

Install the new driver for your ati.

Update DirectX.

Then run furmark,but be carefull because is !stress test!During the test Keep checking always the temperatures.Read all the tutorial then run the test.

Finish and post back the results.

Into normal mode-Installed just driver-DX checked for update, but said i am up to date-tried Furmark,but it won't run,without the graphics card software,so had to re-boot.Re boot crashed at same point again-Atikmpag.sys.
I cannot get any form of windows to run,with graphics card software installed,so cannot fullfill all of the tests.I have never ever had a driver,cause so much problems.

This looks like a faulty hardware\graphic card,you may need to use the warranty for your laptop.

But lets check a little more first.

Download and install http://www.piriform.com/speccy/download
With speccy you can check hardware temperatures and some more info for your system.

Switch off the laptop,live it to cool,then switch on.

Run the speccy,take a snip from the Summary and upload here the screenshot.
