    BSOD problem on 64bit

BSOD's started happening 1 to 2 months ago and are becoming more frequent. They occur randomly. ZIP attahced. Thanks.

    Windows 7 is . . .
    - x64
    - the original installed OS on the system
    - an OEM version (Sony Vaio)
    - 1 year old
    - not yet reinstalled

    MSINFO32 shows:
    - 8 STOP 0x117 errors (video)
    - 9 STOP 0x3B errors (blaming the OS kernel)
    - 1 STOP 0xFE error (usb)

AFAIK, the AMD GPU Clock Tool isn't compatible with Win7. Please uninstall it immediately.
Also, if you're overclocking your system/GPU - please return the system to stock values while we're troubleshooting.

You also have an outdated version of the Sony Firmware Extension Parser driver (from 2007) that is known to cause BSOD's. Please visit the Sony download support website for an updated version of this driver and install it immediately.

You also have an outdated copy of lirsgt.sys - a copy protection driver that is dated from 2004. The program associated with this driver must be uninstalled also.

There are Apple and BlueTooth USB drivers present in the dumps - and they may have contributed to the lone 0XFE error. I'd suggest updating those also.

If you have the AMD Dual Core Optimizer installed (I didn't see it), please uninstall it as it's not compatible with Win7 and will cause BSOD's (Google searches may associate it with AMDTools64.sys) But it may be associated with other AMD tools (such as the AMD Dashboard).

Please update the older drivers in this list also:
OLDER DRIVERS PRESENT IN THE DUMP FILES
    - Create a System Restore Point prior to doing any of this. DO NOT mess with the drivers themselves - leave the Windows\System32\drivers directory alone unless we specifically direct you to it!
    - Please update these drivers from the device manufacturer's website - or uninstall them from your system. Reference links are included below.
    - DO NOT use Windows Update or the Update Drivers function of Device Manager.
    - Please feel free to post back about any drivers that you are having difficulty locating.
    - Windows Update exceptions may be noted below for Windows drivers:

I have found the program causing the BSOD's - Advanced System Care -specifically when it tries to remove 'junk files'. This explains why windows appeared to crash randomly - the program is set to automatically clean the system when the CPU is idle.

Hmmm. I thought about it, but there wasn't enough evidence to presume that it was causing the problems.
But it's great that you discovered it! Thanks for letting us know!
