14 Aug 2011   #1

Windows 7 Home Premium 32bit

Hi, My Laptop nearly always gets the BAD_POOL_CALLER BSOD. It's getting quite annoying now and i want to know what is causing it. I have attached the ZIP folder.

Specs:
Windows 7 is:
- x86 (32-bit)
- Was originally Installed but computer continually crashed and Recovery Drive Would not work forcing a ISO Download.
- OEM

- What is the age of system (hardware)? 2009 (2 Years)
- What is the age of OS installation (have you re-installed the OS?) Last Installation: 13/08/2011

Here is the ZIP file.

You dont have any minidump in your folder.

But is a good idea to start by,

Uninstalling and cleaning Mcafee from your system using the http://download.mcafee.com/products/...tches/MCPR.exe

Download and install MSE
Virus, Spyware & Malware Protection | Microsoft Security Essentials

Enable windows firewall.

Then enable minidump, just read and follow the steps in this tutorial.

In the BSOD.zip you uploaded, you dont include any minidump.

Mcafee is notorious source of bsod.

Also update your Realtek wifi driver.

Hi coatham those are indeed bad Pool Callers. I noticed 2 things:
#1 Learn how to install Windows 7 Service Pack 1 (SP1)
#2 your WiFi driver which is blamed for the crash is older than Windows 7
Code:
RTL8187Se.sys Wed Feb 25 21:31:15 2009 (49A5FEF3)
Image path: \SystemRoot\system32\DRIVERS\RTL8187Se.sys
Try to get a working copy from here Realtek

Another reason for said BSOD could be faulty/unstable RAM (or memory slot) so if a newer driver doesn't resolve the problem, follow this tut:
RAM - Test with Memtest86+
