Windows 7: Computer Make Me MAD!! BSOD & More...

A'ight guy's, thank you for pointing me in the right direction so far. Turned out one of my sticks was bad, but at least it still leaves me with 4gb left...

I ran the test by just doing one stick at a time. The first stick I tested got errors right off the bat. So I stopped the test and then tried it in the other slots with the same outcome.

Then I tested my other two sticks one by one each just doing two passes, and got no errors (I know you at least 7) . Now Im running the two sticks together right now and its on the seconded pass. Im going to let it go a bit longer to make sure all is good.

So what is next do you think?

If the two sticks test ok for +/- 7 passes and the one (third stick) proved to be bad. Then it seems clear and all that is to be done is boot normally with the two good sticks, work with it a while and confirm.

Meanwhile, decide whether 4Gb suffices for you and if not, my advice would be to choose identical sticks that match your mobo. Check the approved memory list on the mobo manufacturer site for that...

Well just to give an update. I managed to get my computer back onto the working track now.

I decided to just run my computer off of the 4gb of RAM. The other problem I had with the Windows Updater, I wasn't able to cure so I just did another clean install of Windows 7 and BOOM!! Problem solved and all the updates downloaded and installed without any problems.

Just wanted to say thanks for all the help!!
