I'm currently in the process of that, but it says the product key supplied by the vendor is invalid. I've contacted the vendor who have told me that product key will not work because it needs a version of Vista underneath to upgrade from.
My computers been wiped clean, so there is no version of Vista - I have 2 genuine license keys (one for Vista, one for W7) and no operating system??

Nice one!
Got it fixed and back up and running. Thanks to all of you for your help. After numerous conversations to Microsoft and RM.com I can conclude that their customer support are collectively a useless and pointless entity and only serves the purpose of generating more revenue for their greedy loop-holed pockets.
If any of those clowns had the tiniest bit of integrity, they would have given me the same advice I receiveed from this forum rather than spending that time attempting to convince me the only solution was to part with more cash.
Thanks again, in future I will come here and not those ravenous plutocrats.
