    File explorer problems

Just finished building a W7 Pro PC and have now found I have a very odd problem with file explorer. I can right click on a folder and it works fine but if I right click on any file it just locks up totally and I have to power off and back on to get it back. Now for the very odd thing. If I open task manager and kill explorer.exe and then start a new one via the run option, I can right click on files and it works but if I change drives, it locks up again? I have tried selective startup and disabled all non MS bits using Shellexview but the problem remains the same.

Any ideas please? Everything alse works fine BTW.

    Do the basic troubleshooting steps:

    1. Memtest86+
    2. Full scan w/ hd manufacturer's diagnostic disk
    3. Install latest drivers, especially chipset driver. Win7 comes with solid drivers, but you can never discount anything.
    4. Bios update

Well after a lot of testing, it turned out to be Easy Media Creator 10 that was causing the problems. Uninstall and all working fine again!!

Updating BIOS would defiantly be a bad move. This guy is just having a problem with his explore.exe, which wouldn't anyhow be connected to BIOS.
It's also risky during the update, you could break the whole motherboard in bad cases.
