Windows 7: Random system hangs and freezes

This isn't a BIG problem, but when i'm using my computer, at random times the system will stop for about 2 seconds and the audio will freeze up, mostly when opening new programs or new tabs, is there anyway i can fix this? *EDIT: I found something weird, when using FRAPS to record my screen, i was trying to capture the freeze happening, and i tried everything to make it happen, but my system DIDNT FREEZE!?!? Once i stopped recording, i tried again and it did the same thing, froze and audio froze, i dont understand this at all!!*
