System crashes after "Starting Windows" screen... Help...

    Post us the MSINFO32 File

    MSINFO32:
    Please go to Start and type in "msinfo32.exe" (without the quotes) and press Enter
    Save the report as an .nfo file, then zip up the .nfo file and upload/attach the .zip file with your next post.

    Completely uninstall Avast including the "self protection".

    Install and use Microsoft Security Essentials (MSE). Link in my sig.

    To remove avast:

hi guys, today when i've finished playing the computer, i've used 'shutdown' to turn off my computer, the shutdown process doesn't seem to turn off my computer, so i just waited and waited for 30 minutes, still it was still on the same screen saying "shutting down" with the circle still spinning....
So my computer was left on over night and I wake up and turn on the monitor and the computer was frozen. I re-started it everything is fine. I go on facebook check my email, then it just restarts on me without warning. It gets stuck at the starting windows screen for about 3-5mins then blue...
OS: Windows 7 Ultimate 64 As the topic implies, my system occasionally hangs at "Starting Windows". Specifically, it hangs just before the Microsoft graphic plays. If I see the graphic, I know I'm good to go. Once I get past "starting windows", I have yet to see any issue with the system...
