| | Random Crashing Need Help Hello I have a problem. I have a brand new build and it started crashing. I've build this PC about two weeks ago and everything seemed to be OK when it suddenly started crashing. System is crashing randomly , it doesn't give me BSOD and after restart it asks me to insert a boot device , after switching it on and off it usually starts OK but once i had to do system restore. Yesterday afternoon it crashed and it wouldn't boot up at all , it would gave me a constant beeping sound from the speaker , finally it stopped after about 30 seconds and PC started. The specs are : ASUS p8p67 pro Intel Core i7 2600k Corsair H80 8 GIG RAM Corsair Vengeance Zotac GTX590 Corsair Force F3 SSD 60GB 2x Samsung F3 RAID0 NZXT Sentry Fan controller Windows 7 Ultimate 64 Retail I've set BIOS to default settings (no overclocking) I'm attaching my dump files maybe it helps. |

| | Hello AntiNEO, welcome to SF! Seems you get most of your crashes playing Call of Duty correct? A couple of things to check: 1. Finish Windows Update. Something is wrong there and could have messed up drivers. Quote: Please go to your Maintenance Center and check the Windows Update status. Make sure you are up to date, do them one by one manually if needed. For help or reset see: Windows Update - Reset 3. Please also de-install Daemon tools until proven stable. These are known to cause problems in Windows 7. To make sure you get dumps in the future: To ensure minidumps are enabled: Dump Files - Configure Windows to Create on BSOD Go to Start, in the Search Box type: sysdm.cpl, press Enter. Under the Advanced tab, click on the Startup and Recovery Settings... button. Ensure that Automatically restart is unchecked. Under the Write Debugging Information header Select Small memory dump (256 kB) in the dropdown box (the 256kb varies). Ensure that the Small Dump Directory is listed as %systemroot%\Minidump. OK your way out. Reboot if changes have been made. |

| | Thank you for the answer. The COD error was a common error COD4 is causing with Realtek Audio and i fixed it it's no longer happening. I uninstalled Daemon Tools as you said , also i did change the Small memory dump (256 kB) as you asked , did update reset and while installing said updates my PC crashed giving me BSOD with this error: STOP: c000021a {Fatal System Error} The Windows Logon Process system process terminated unexpectedly with a status of c0000006 (0x775e523b 0x022de580) The system has been shutdown. After reboot it asked me to insert a boot device again but after couple re tries system started. I'm attaching another system dump which i made right after this crash. P.S I was able to install said updates after this crash without problems. |

| | This dump was caused by a powerproblem / inconsistent state on the PCI part of your mobo... Included the dump analysis for future ref. As you built this yourself... probably best to go over all PCI related stuff one by one: 1. Hardware seating in slots. Check all carefully. 2. BIOS energy settings, if any, turn off all energysaving modes 3. Windows 7 PCI related energy settings, again, until stable, no energysaving / sleeping/ hibernating etc. If this does not solve it, time to check pci drivers and last, test pci devices.
