On Board Graphics Crashing

Hi all

I have a two year old PC which I couldn't live without. it's an AMD Phenom II 925, 4Gb ram, Asus M2N68-VM.

A few weeks ago I got a couple of blue Screens when the computer woke from hibernation. I noticed it said something about my GFX card, so I decided to download the latest Nvidia software which seemed to work a treat as the blue screens have been absent since.

Anyway, since I have noticed when there is any kind of video (50% of the time) feed to be played either in WMP or Skype the screen goes blank then I get a bubble in the bottom right to say that GFX card stopped working. I have checked for further updates but there is nothing and because it is on board GFX Nvidia direct you to your PC manufacturer. I have contacted MESH who have said that it could be a problem with the memory so I need to do memory test but I can't really see how that will be affecting it.

Can anyone please help as it's becoming a bit of a pain.

Cheers

You dont have any minidump in your folder
To enable minidump and disable auto-restart, follow these steps:

Go to Start and type in "sysdm.cpl" (without the quotes) and press Enter
Click on the Advanced tab
Click on the Startup and Recovery Settings button
Ensure that "Automatically restart" is unchecked
Under the Write Debugging Information header select "Small memory dump (256 kB)" in the dropdown box
Ensure that the Small Dump Directory is listed as "%systemroot%\Minidump" (without the quotes)
Click OK twice to exit the dialogs, then reboot for the changes to take effect.
---------------------------
""it could be a problem with the memory so I need to do memory test but I can't really see how that will be affecting it."" Faulty memory can affect critically the computer.

Cheers for that, it's much appreciated.

I'm just working my way through it all now.

Do you need me to re- attach the mini-dump?

BTW my small memory dump is 256k not 64k. Is that correct?

Cheers
