    BSOD Freeze maybe related to Firefox??


    I can reliably produce a BSOD freeze (no BS) where all keys and functions are inactive by running Firefox 6 (or 5) for some length of time (varies, but usually not over a few minutes). I have enclosed the other materials in case it is not really FF doing this:

    This is a Toshiba Satellite L675D w an AMD Phenom II N640 Dual Core 2.90 GHz CPU
    4gig RAM
    64 bit processor
    Windows 7 Home Premium SP1

    Any help would be appreciated

    Hello Ksalzman, welcome to SF!

    I can't really see a relation to FF yet... but you do need to check some things:

    Please go to your Maintenance Center and check the Windows Update status. Make sure you are up to date, do them one by one manually if needed.
    For help or reset see: Windows Update - Reset
    Also, you seem to have a problem with a PnP device. Is there any exclamation mark in the Devices screen?

Hi, I'm having an issue with random BSOD's. I've performed a RAM test a couple of days ago and it took over 6 hours to complete that. No errors reported. I've also performed a graphics memory test using Video Memory Test (VMT), and i've also used Furmark to test for graphics related issues....
I have installed a brand new SSD as of Friday night (31/5/13) and all was working well until last night after the last windows updates and other 3rd party drivers where installed. Now I can't run Firefox for anything longer than a few minutes before it crashes to BSOD. I'm using IE 10 to get around...

This has been the second time that I have had the BSOD in 2 months, and it has happened the same way each time: my computer will have been running for 3-5 hours, I would be using Firefox or checking my email or using Adobe Illustator or Photoshop when the screen (and any sound that was playing)...
Hi all, I've been dealing with this problem since about the end of August. At first, my computer would freeze upon logging into Windows. I would get either a black screen, or a screen full of random colour patterns, or a solid colour. At the time I had Windows Vista, but I bought Windows 7...
