    Windows 7 Freezing

when playing any kind of game my system freezes after a few minutes and the only way i can get it to respond is by doing a hard reset.
So far this has happened on several games like fallout new vegas and on Civ 5 so it isn't just a game issue.
Any ideas anyone?? What info do you need to help me figure this out?

    Welcome to Sevenforums.

Could you fill in your system specs?

How old is your graphics card? Model?

If your drivers are up-to-date you may be having trouble with the power supply as the card you have is power-supply hungry.

What size is your power supply rating?

You could probably do with some more RAM as well.

    That may be your problem.

As far as I'm aware, the manual for your card specifies a minimum requirement of a 500w power supply.

would that cause the machine to freeze? or would it just shut the system down?
