about 2 or 3 weeks ago loud clicking again and locked up so I shut it down with the power button, been fine since that. I ran a virus scan about a week ago it found a few things and removed them don't know if that's relevant.
Sometimes yes this is relevant.
Though clicking sound usually is dying hard disk.
Is good idea to run also these 2 scans,
Download,instal,update SUPERAntiSpyware
Download,instal,update Malwarebytes
Restart in safe mode,
Full scan with superantispyware, finish. Full scan with malwarebytes, finish.
Restart, run again the same both scans in normal mode.
How do you start it in safe mode? :)
Okay done that, super anti spyware just found adware both times and Malwarebytes found nothing
still there v. faint but as I say I don't know if that has always been there and I haven't noticed because it's not really something I'd think or worry about, I did think that it could just be the "arm" of the hard drive moving across the disk as it's accessing info, But if it is the hard drive dying there's not a lot I can do is there? :)
