I bought a new harddrive thinking that might be the problem. I've tried booting from the Win 7 DVD on both the old and new drive. I get to the "Starting Windows" screen and it just sits there on both drives. I've let it set for as much as 4 hours. I've looked through the forums but have not found this exact problem. I've tried the AVG boot disk and it crashes also. Any ideas?
After 3 days of searching through the forums I finally tested my memory. I had ONE bad stick of RAM. After removal...it works fine.
Use the mem test that is linked in these forums.
Thanks!
