    Extremely Slow...missing partition!

Hey guys, so my PC specs are as follow:

    Core i7 930 2.8ghz
    18gb Corsair XMS3 DDR3 PC1600
1tb HDD Parition into 850gb and 50gb (windows)

Recently, in order to save some energy I set windows to sleep after 30minutes. Little did I know, it would turn into a nightmare. After 30 minutes the PC will shutdown and will not resume with the power button. Switching the power supply on and off seems to resume the power switch function and windows begins to resume however....It takes approximately 5 minutes on the windows logo screen, then 1 minute on the Login and then a disastrous 15-25 minutes to load. After this the PC is EXTREMELY Sluggish! Takes 5 minutes just to right click or to open control panel or any window for that matter.

    Things to note:

-50GB Windows partition only has 1gb remaining!
-MY SECOND PARTITION CANNOT BE SEEN! The drive shows up but cannot chkdsk nor access it. 0bytes under properties!!!

-Under Event viewer/System : ERROR - DISK: The device, \Device\Harddisk0\DR0, has a bad block.

Steps I've taken so far after doing research:

    1) I checked HKLM/..WindowsNT/..Winlogon/ shell properties and its only set to explorer.exe

    2) I've tried loading in safe mode with the same results , if not worse! Completely inoperable!

    3) Run Safemode with command and executed CHKDSK on C: drive with not much result.

4)Checked Event Viewer (after waiting 10minutes for it to load) and there are some 58,096 events under 'system'. Quite a lot under security. Not very much under startup.

    5) With Task Manager open the CPU Usage is 0%. No hiccups in performance or memory usage.

What do I do...I cannot access my main partition! Do i have to clean install and lose all my stuff? Because running a HDD recovery software will take ages to load with these issues..

what is: ERROR - DISK: The device, \Device\Harddisk0\DR0, has a bad block.

Drives showing problems like that are best dealt with by purchasing a replacement.

...it's not a seagate 1tb by any chance?
This was happening rather often with a specific model of theirs I forget the number off the top of my head something like 700.11

This isn't a cpu or other hardware problem, it's related specifically to the drive in question.

Whatever data you can access I would start backing up now.
Recovery in this situation is not terribly likely though you can try using chkdsk in this way
    CHKDSK C: /R

No, it's actually a Samsung HD103sj - only had it for about a year and half =\

Heres something interesting that's happening right now. I'm running ChkDsk e: /r and currently it's stuck on "CHKDSK is verifying Usn Journal..." for the past 1 hour. I figure its cuz it's large partition. So i'm letting it run, the weird thing is, everything else is running smoothly and quite normally. I'm writing this from the very pc. I am able to view files from my external hard-drive and access everything except the E:/ parition.

I'am assuming this would be a good time to do any sort of diagnostics? Samsung only has a DOS exe. for this particular hard-drive and I don't want to reboot! Is there any other third-party DISK UTILITY that I can use? Thanks in advance!

It really is best to use the diagnostic provided by the specific manufacturer when dealing with hard drives.
