Sorry I'm rushed today so I'm not doing as thorough a job as I maybe should be with these crashes.

What are you using the atheros bluetooth for? I can track it to manufacturer but I can't track it to a specific model. Whatever it is it seems to be loading a massive number of support drivers for itself on your system, around 10, which is just ridiculous.

Also remove AVG temporarily, you can stop using driver verifier now, I have the feeling it's going to keep spitting that same error for the moment.

If it's not the atheros bluetooth the next candidate I see here is the ultramon utility you are using.

Finally something that's hard for us to track now but may also explain your problem.
Are you using any software that includes a virtual drive i.e. Daemon tools, Alcohol 120, or any other drive emulator?

Finally iastor.sys or the intel rapid storage driver seems to be hanging. This could mean nothing, this could mean it's still not installed properly.

Is the latest driver for that.
no problems. I sincerely appreciate whatever help I am able to get. I'm just about ready to pull out my hair and throw this machine out the window.

the bluetooth is built into my mobo. have no use for it. but when installing all drivers off the mobo included CD i thought it better to install those drivers than leave the device without.

I've gone ahead and removed AVG, powerISO and ultramon completely. and I'll look into making sure the intel driver u were referring to is up to date correctly. will also disable driver verifier. and not sure if it does anything but also disabled bluetooth adapter.

aaargh. just had it bsod on me for the marvel driver which I just updated.

I'm wondering if I should just save us both the trouble and try everything again from scratch.

Clean fresh boot. I'm just worried that if it gets to that point and I go this route and after all the time of a fresh install and getting software back installed I'd still end up with these problems.

well to save you the trouble of backing up data, you can try a repair install incase there is some windows feature or setting that has gone nuts on you.
A repair install will revert windows to it's original default state, but leave your files and apps alone.

yea I looked into that option first. But it wouldnt let me proceed said the current install is newer than my install CD so clean wipe and fresh install seems to be the most straight forward approach unless you've seen something that is glaringly obvious.

from what we've seen so far this appears to be driver related correct?

hi i have a problem where my mouse freezes intermitently and i am seeing alot of weird loggs in event viewer. Some are simular to the thread below:
http://www.sevenforums.com/crashes-d...reezing-2.html

I am quite certain my system is being compromised due to the information given to me. Just wondering if you guys would be able to help me ensure this is mitigated?
i have updated my audit and security settings multiple times only to find access and owners keep reverting/changing back. Even after reloading the operating system and disable all remote settings the issue remains.
Hope you can assist.

Thanks

Well we can test the drivers using the method described here. I'm much better when I have a minidump file to work with anyhow, and this will hopefully generate some.
Driver Verifier - Enable and Disable
(Please read all instructions for driver verifier before using as it's possible it will make the machine behave badly and you need to know how to undo it.)

I'm just wondering if you have a defective hard disk drive. Do you have another one you can try?

I was leaning towards that for the longest time but all the drives are new or relatively new. SMART attributes all check out. have done numerous disk checks and scans all come back good. did a secure reset of my ssd prior to my clean install.

OS is on the Intel 510 120GB SSD
have 3x 1TB Seagate 7200rpm
a 2TB Hitachi Deskstar 7200rpm

I just noticed when using parted magic only 2 of my seagates are showing up. I"m going to replace all my sata cables and see if that makes any difference. and check each drive one by one

replaced all sata cables. ran just the OS SSD and still had it freeze up on me so doesnt look to be hard drive related unless this brand new Intel 510 120GB is crapping out on me within a months time. Really seems to be software/driver related now

Is it likely or even a possibility its my motherboard?

I have an asus formula 4 and 16GB 1866 corsair vengeance. Runs fine with one stick in it at almost any speed setting, put 2 in no matter the slot and win7 randomly crashes or has performance issues. The memory checks out so I am a bit lost as to what could be the issue could be.
