Computer refuses to start - Status: 0xc00000e9

(If this is the wrong place to post this, please move, thanks.)

Okay, so I was playing a game then suddenly my computer freezes, well not really freeze just my programs all werent responding, including task manager, so i turned power off and back on.

I am greeted with a choice of two options, to "startup repair" or just start normally.

But both options give me this:

Code:
Windows has encountered a problem communicating with a device connected to your computer

This error can be caused by unplugging a removable storage device such as an external USB drive while the device is in use, or by faulty hardware such as a hard drive or CD-ROM drive that is failing. Make sure any removable storage is properly connected and then restart your computer.

If you continue to recieve this error message, contact the hardware manufacturer.

Status: 0xc00000e9

Info: An unexpected I/O error has occured.
Tried safe mode, still does this, so I decided to boot from win7 cd and I chose to use startup repair, then it attempts to repair, about 2 hours later, it's still stuck on "attempting repairs.", I can't cancel it either so it just makes me even more nervous.

Please help, thanks.

Hello,

Try running a couple of bootable hardware diagnostics. Start with SeaTools for DOS: SeaTools for DOS | Seagate

Also run Memtest86: RAM - Test with Memtest86+

Okay I'll check it out, by the way, it finally finished saying it cannot repair automatically.

EDIT: It decides that it'd ignore the CD of the SeaTools now.
