BSOD at random times dell p4 pc

Hello, I just got a used dell gx270 pc, p4 512mb ram, windows 7 ultimate fresh install. It came without a hard drive but it seems is made for XP. I just want to use it to share media and files on muy home network but it is giving me random BSOD. I put in a used ram stick I had around so I need help identifying the problem, thanks in advance for your help :)
