    BSOD when closing H2O program

    Greetings,

Here I am with a nasty problem. I had a good spell of 2 years or so without any problems, but alas time has come when I managed to crash my system once more.

    Things you will be wondering about;

1- What exactly is the problem?
Well the problem is that whenever I start my computer, it takes 10 times more to start Windows 7 and when it starts, I constantly get Blue Death Screen message which headlines; IRQL NOT EQUAL OR LESS.

2- What did you change to cause such a problem?
Now these are all just speculations for I cannot be sure what caused the problem. My computer was working fine only an hour ago but there is more to it; About 20 hours ago I received a message from Windows 7 stating that it located a virus of sort. So I told the program to delete it, afterwards it asked me to restart but I've been busy with something so I didn't.

About an hour ago or so it said the same thing, only this time there were two virus type of things. (Btw I'm not sure if it's a virus per sa but more like backdoor, I can't recall the names) Anyhow I told it to erase them and then I again didn't restart, instead I installed a new game. When the game was installed I was like, fine then time to restart the pc.

Ta da! Blue screen, IRQL NOT LESS OR EQUAL. I kept the pc on just to see if this was a constant problem, as it turns out, it was indeed a constant problem. I cannot manage to run windows at all.

3- Are you able to start Windows 7 on safe prompt?
Yes I am. Actually right now I'm using Windows 7 safe prompt with networking to post this message.

4-Are you aware that if you are able to start Windows 7 on safe prompt, the problem might be one of those programs that start up on normal mode?

I've read about that on one of the forum posts, so I went into msconfig to check my startup programs. I removed all of them except for Microsoft Corporation's. Still I got the blue screen with the same error.

5-Well then looks like we'll have to take a look at your mini dump thingies.
Sure thing, I'm uploading them here on attachments.

    ...
    ....
Turns out that I cannot upload .dmp files as attachments, instead I've selected all the relevant .dmp files and zipped them into minidump.rar, you can access it from my attachments.

6- What more can I tell you?
I consider myself to have some set of knowledge with computers, so when my computer crashes, I try to fix it myself first. As such I did a little googling with the recent problem and I changed my startup files to see if that'd solve the problem but as I stated above, it didn't.

I'm clueless as though what could be the issue here, which is why I'm here. I'll be online the entire day until I get to fix this issue, I hope to god it is not a malware issue because the computer repair service takes two weeks to fix my pc

    · OS - Vista/ Windows 7 ? Win 7 Home Premium
    · x86 (32-bit) or x64 ? 32-bit
    · What was original installed OS on system? This one: Win 7 Home Premium 32 bit
    · Is the OS an OEM version (came pre-installed on system) or full retail version (YOU purchased it from retailer)? It is an OEM version.
    · Age of system (hardware) 1.5 years I think
    · Age of OS installation - have you re-installed the OS? It wasn't reinstalled
    · CPU - Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Quad CPU Q8400 @ 2.66GHz 2.67GHz
    · Video Card - ATI Radeon HD 4600 Series
    · MotherBoard - FOXCONN G41MXE series
    · Power Supply - brand & wattage | Can't quite open my computer or the guarantee will be removed.
Installed Memory (RAM): 4.00 GB (3,25 GB usable <-- I know, I got cheated with 32bit system)

So something odd just occured. I was going through miscalleneous steps, and used the driver verifier thing, except I didn't create a system recovery. I restarted my computer and bam! Blue screen popped up before Windows could start, from then on whenever I rebooted it told me to choose a startup disc etc instead of starting Windows. You can imagine how worries I was, I put my Windows 7 disc.

Ran a memory test and it all came good. Then I went to system recovery option, thinking I had one... Turns out I didn't have one, so I was like shiit I'm damned, all my files are gone. Last resort I used Windows startup recovery and then rebooted. Well windows started normally and fast enough...

However when I close a program that is acting as a device(H2O), Windows goes back to that blue screen.

I managed to take a peek at what caused the latest BSOD crash it was cledx.sys

PS: This was originally a post on another forum but seeing how I couldn't get any assistance, I figured I could give this place a try. The minidump files are on the attachment.

    Hi and welcome. Nice post

These were virtually all Related to SyncroSoft security products. Note: Located in \%Program Files%\SyncroSoft\Pos\H2O\

I would remove and replace it with Microsoft Security essentials.

Virus, Spyware & Malware Protection | Microsoft Security Essentials

    ALSO remove sptd.sys

Please remove any CD visualization programs such as Daemon Tools and Alcohol 120%.

They use a driver, found in your dmp, called sptd.sys, that is notorious for causing BSODs.

Use this SPTD uninstaller DuplexSecure - Downloads http://duplexsecure.com/faq

when you're done you can use this Freeware MagicISO Virtual CD/DVD-ROM(MagicDisc) in its place.

I tried what you suggested but I believe either malware or software malfunctioning was at its peek for it took forever to start processes and alike. I will however stop using Daemon Tools like suggested, thanks for the assistance. If something comes up I'll be back here. (Hopefully that something will never come up.)
