BSOD when i plug LAN cable to LAN Card, (DUMP attached) HELP Please

    Hello everybody, pardon me..
I have a BSOD problem everytime i connect to network (plug the cable into my LAN card), not directly but if i unplug the cable it will never BSOD again.
I have test the cable and its fine, and i just buy a new lan card because i think the previous one is the root problems. But the BSOD happen again

    I use Win7 Ultimate 32 bit
    Hardware & OS = 1 year old

Thx before for your help, really appreciate it

    Shin27 Hi and welcome

These are virtually the same and Related to ESET_Smart_Security Note: Located in \%Program Files%\ESET\ESET Smart Security\ Yours is from 3 years ago. It cant possibly work in win 7.

I would remove it and replace with Microsoft Security Essentials at least to test.

    http://download.eset.com/special/ESETUninstaller.exe

Virus, Spyware & Malware Protection | Microsoft Security Essentials

    Next and really important.

Please remove any CD visualization programs such as Daemon Tools and Alcohol 120%.

They use a driver, found in your dmp, called sptd.sys, that is notorious for causing BSODs.

Use this SPTD uninstaller DuplexSecure - Downloads DuplexSecure - FAQ

when you're done you can use this Freeware MagicISO Virtual CD/DVD-ROM(MagicDisc) in its place.

You also have many old drivers needing updating from as far back as 2004.

To be honest it might be easier (and more stable to do a clean re-install, but that is up to you.

    How To Find Drivers:
    - search Google for the name of the driver
    - compare the Google results with what's installed on your system to figure out which device/program it belongs to
    - visit the web site of the manufacturer of the hardware/program to get the latest drivers (DON'T use Windows Update or the Update driver function of Device Manager).
    - if there are difficulties in locating them, post back with questions and someone will try and help you locate the appropriate program.
    - - The most common drivers are listed on this page: Driver Reference Driver Reference
    - - Driver manufacturer links are on this page: Drivers and Downloads

Hi shin27 and welcome to SF!
All 21 crashes (except 1) have the error code 4A
    Code:
    IRQL_GT_ZERO_AT_SYSTEM_SERVICE (4a)
This indicates that a thread is returning to user mode from a system call when its IRQL is still above PASSIVE_LEVEL.
Ultimately blaming the file ekrn.exe (which is part of ESET's NOD32 IIRC)
As course of action I would start with this:
Learn how to install Windows 7 Service Pack 1 (SP1)
Then uninstall Eset for the time being with this
Nod32 Removal Tool to Uninstall & Completely Remove Nod32 Antivirus
and use this in the meantime
Download Details - Microsoft Download Center - Microsoft Security Essentials

BTW what kind of firewall (if any) are you using?

Independent from this you should get rid of Alcohol120% and remove the driver after this tut

    DuplexSecure - FAQ

replace it (if you still need a program like that) with one of the following programs that work without this driver (which is known to cause BSODs)
    Freeware MagicISO Virtual CD/DVD-ROM(MagicDisc) Overview
    SlySoft Virtual CloneDrive
Gizmo Central -- Enliven your PC

Like always when an AV program causes crashes I'm suspicious as to how much damages has been done already.
So I recommend to fully scan your computer with this
Malwarebytes : Malwarebytes Anti-Malware is a free download that removes viruses and malware from your computer

    Hi zigzag3143 & sledgeDG
I really appreciate it ur help.

I have uninstalled esset with that tools.
I have download driver scaner too, they say my old driver only NVIDIA sounds, should i update it?

and the other problem is i can't uninstall alcohol because there is no alcohol in "remove program", but there is alcohol virtual drive, confusing.
I cant do duplex way too, escpecially step 1
Step 1. Boot in safe mode and press ESC key when you see on bottom line of display: "Press ESC to cancel loading SPTD.sys". This will abort loading of SPTD layer.
I dont find the "Press ESC to cancel loading SPTD.sys" when i try to boot in safe mode.

    Any idea?

Simply find sptd.sys by searching and rename it to sptd.bak so it cannot load.
