system stability issue
Hey guys,
Just wanted to thank you in advance for taking a look at my computer issues. I built a gaming computer (first computer I've ever built) a few months ago, and have been having intermittent stability problems. My computer had been acting stable for the past few weeks with no problems (except for crashing out of Dragon Age: Origins every once in a while) until tonight. I wanted to put the computer to sleep, but instead there was the option to install updates and shut the computer down. I chose this option, and the computer turned off after installing the updates. Later, when I attempted to turn it back on, I found that the screen resolution was not what it was supposed to be (1920x1080). I attempted to restart the computer, but it froze, so I had to do a hard shut down. Everything seemed to load fine when I turned the computer back on. I went into the Reliability Monitor to see what went wrong, and found that both the svchost.exe_RpcEptMapper and the Services and Controller app had stopped working. Then, I went to the Event Viewer and saw that there were 221 administrative events (see attached pic). I am wondering if there is anything wrong with my OS install (or anything else), and how I would go about trying to find the problem(s). Please let me know if there is any other information I can supply that might help.
Thank you again.
