I tried every combination slots and sticks have no problems.
(2 slots, 2x 2gb sticks)

---Additionally, in the little time i had on 4gb ram boot i saw that only 2,94 gb memory is usable.

Is Windows 7 . . .

- What is the age of system (hardware)?

Not sure what this means. But motherboard of mine is quite old

- What is the age of OS installation (have you re-installed the OS?)

XP x86 to win 7 x86 to win 7 x64

Apologies for the bad English. I tried my best.
PS: Lack of grasp in your language may have made me look inexperienced,
but I'll probably understand what you will say.
