Yeah from looking at the web page you can select which integrated video card you have and your is nvidia so I'm sure this would be the conflicting issue those intels have to be outathere. Then the driveragent will let us know what else you need..

I don't care about the disconnected ones as I don't need them for now.

I'm going to restart now and let you know what goes on!

Download and run this hotfix from Microsoft this update improves the stability and reliability of Windows 7 and of Windows Server 2008 R2.

Every .dmp file points to hl2.exe and direct x are you sure that halflife doesn't have any patches and what not for the game. I'm looking back through the posts and trying to remember what we have done and tried.

    Hi man,
That up date isn't applicable, however there were 3 updates available from microsoft which I have downloaded:

Security Update for Windows 7 for x64-based Systems (KB2570947)

Update for Windows 7 for x64-based Systems (KB2616676)

and a malicious software removal tool.

hl2 gets its updates directly through steam whenever you log on to play.

I don't know what's happening...I just did a search for directx on my computer..found the setup, so I reran it...it allowed me to install it again without saying I already have it. I know I did this yesterday.
I think I'm going to have to go to bed right now. I can't take anymore Half life or counter strike to test it atm. ha ha.
This will end up being the simplest thing that I haven't done or thought I had done.

This is the one I always install it the most complete
    DirectX End-User Runtimes (June 2010)

Download Details - Microsoft Download Center - DirectX Redist (June 2010)

And if that doesn't take care of it then the video card driver is buggy and you will need to install an older version until they get the one you have install fixed.

    Regards

    Seth
