Windows 7: Try to install different programs get error.

Ive tried to install several programs. During installation I get a popup stating "User 'SYSTEM' has previously initiated an install for product 'AVG 2011'. That user will need to run that install again before they can use that product. Your current install will now continue. click (OK). Then another popup "Error An installation for AVG 2011 is currently suspended. You must undo the changes made by that installation to continue. Do you want to undo those changes? Answer Y or N. I ve done both. The first thing I notice is the second hand on my desktop clock freezes then a short time later the mouse locks. Num Lock continues to work. Can't do anything. I reset. Computer seems to work fine. Until I install something. I also cant uninstall things..er something. During an uninstall computer just locks up. No errors. Ive tried to re-install AVG same problem. Any thoughts on a solution?

Boot from a System Repair Disc.
Go to the folder which contains AVG and delete everything there. Delete the folder.

There is more to be done, but let us know the outcome of this step.

Ive looked for every bit of that AVG file, can't find anymore.

I uninstalled both of those drivers in the hidden non plug and play drivers list. Same overall problem as before.

Add the word laptop or desktop or netbook to the
“system manufacturer” block, for example,

Use the “Other Info” block for Optical Reader,
Mouse, touchpad, wifi adapter, speakers, monitor, etc

Scroll down and click on the SAVE CHANGES button.

This has a list of avg uninstall programs.

Ive tried the 32 bit the 64 bit AVG remover and the AVG Identity Protection Remover. Same problem.
