Windows 7: Please assist with Blue Screen

16 Sep 2011   #1

Win 7 64-bit

Please assist with Blue Screen

Windows 7 x64
OEM Version
Asus Laptop
Hardware about 4 years old
Yes, I have reinstalled the OS from OEM discs

No idea as to cause of Blue Screen. Had issues a while ago, about a year, and it was driver related. This just started happening again. Looking for any assistance.

Zip file uploaded.

Thank You

IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL (a)
An attempt was made to access a pageable (or completely invalid) address at an
interrupt request level (IRQL) that is too high. This is usually
caused by drivers using improper addresses.
If a kernel debugger is available get the stack backtrace.
Arguments:
Arg1: fffffb40003bf71a, memory referenced
Arg2: 0000000000000002, IRQL
Arg3: 0000000000000000, bitfield :
    bit 0 : value 0 = read operation, 1 = write operation
bit 3 : value 0 = not an execute operation, 1 = execute operation (only on chips which support this level of status)
Arg4: fffff80002ca0ad7, address which referenced memory

Hi psills can you fill in the rest of your system specs this little tool makes it easy to do so so follow this tutorial anf fill them in if you would be so kind: System Info - See Your System Specs also I would like you to download speedfan and install it so we can get some temperatures on you cpu: http://www.almico.com/installspeedfan444.exe and you can see your critical cpu temperatures on this site: http://www.pantherproducts.co.uk/Art...eratures.shtml

I would suggest if temperatures are rising a little to much for your cpu please blow off the dust and clean out the air passages of your computer so it runs cooler.

I'm going to continue looking for old drivers and stuff that need to be updated in the mean time. Let me know what the temperature is of your cpu when it's under a lot of stress ie video editing - scanning for
malware ect.

Edit: Please update Ricoh Memory Card Reader driver: http://www.ricoh.com/r_dc/download/
Update Nvbridge drivers: http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx
Update nvidia video card drivers: http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx

There is a handy little tool I attached to this post that will scan the rest of your computer for drivers and hardware that is connected to your computer like generic products and stuff that may soetimes need updating as well. Please download it and run it. After it is finished it will show you all the bad or outdated drivers on your system, you can then google for the drivers and install them..

Also I would like you to run a malware scan on your system in the event viewer I'm seeing some entries as having a "?" make in the decription which can point to malware so just to be safe download malwarebytes from here: http://www.malwarebytes.org/ install it and do a full update and then a full scan of the system.
