Windows 7: Instant Shutdowns while watching videos

23 Sep 2011   #11

Windows 7 Ultimate x64

One thing that I can see is that your drivers are old and outdated and we need to get the booting situation fixed, did you shut of driver verifier because if you didn't it is going to make your computer hard to boot. Go into safemode and type verifier in the search bar open the program and delete the existing settings then reboot normally, you shouldn't have any problems booting after that. If you do run this tutorial: Startup Repair - Run 3 Separate Times

One other thing that I'm seeing is that the dump files are corrupt and we might as well start by doing a memory test on your computer since the dumps are saying much so follow this guide on how to do a memory test: RAM - Test with Memtest86+ after which well get you updated to SP1 and get your drivers fixed and up to date..

IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL (a)
An attempt was made to access a pageable (or completely invalid) address at an
interrupt request level (IRQL) that is too high. This is usually
caused by drivers using improper addresses.
If a kernel debugger is available get the stack backtrace.
Arguments:
Arg1: 0000000000000008, memory referenced
Arg2: 0000000000000002, IRQL
Arg3: 0000000000000000, bitfield :
    bit 0 : value 0 = read operation, 1 = write operation
bit 3 : value 0 = not an execute operation, 1 = execute operation (only on chips which support this level of status)
Arg4: fffff80002ce4103, address which referenced memory

Hi, I did the memory test, I'll get through 1-2 passes with no errors but then computer restarts and the tests start again. I 've tried to complete it 3 times and everytime there are restarts.

Meanwhile I did update to Windows SP1.
