Why is my Windows 7 Restarting itself?

Hey guys, just now just before dinner I clicked the install button in the NVIDIA graphic driver update box, after dinner I came to my computer to see the sentence "Reboot and select proper boot device or insert boot media" being repeated a few times. i ignored it thinking it was due to the update, I got into windows, and then did a system restore. After that I had a few other startup problems but after a few reboots everything was fine.. Now I have another problem, it seems that when I do some stuff in Photoshop(and other stuff like deleting items) Windows will hang and suddenly restart itself.

I did not know if the driver was ever successfully updated since I was away from the computer. I'm using a NVIDIA graphics card so I went to NVIDIA's website to download the updates for my video card(GeForce 7025).
Other problems:
- Stuck at the "Starting windows" screen
- Stuff on desktop disappear slowly one by one after hanging( gadgets, icons, superbar)
- Desktop turns black but taskbar visible

Now everytime it restarts it will show the "Reboot and select proper boot device or insert boot media" message...Can anyone help me? ><
