Windows Explorer Has Stopped Working (one type of fix)

Hi all of a sudden when clicking on some .flv tutorials I downloaded, I started getting this error Windows Explorer Has Stopped Working & will now close. My system is windows 7 ultimate 32bit.
I tried loads of things suggested while browsing Google, nothing I tried seem to work. I then moved the tutorials onto my spare computer, installed K-Lite Codec Pack v7.7.0 Full + the v7.7.2 Update, Bang, it started happening again.
Event viewer (mumbo jumbo to me) told me it was a Appcrash, Fact module name/Xvidcore.dll. So I uninstalled K-Lite Codec Pack, then run CCleaner for good measure, logged off & on.... No more error. Got to say though I have been using K-Lite Codec Pack for ever with windows 7, this is the first time I have had problems with this error. I hope this might help others, with the same type of problems.
