This error seems to be quite popular when I googled it.
Didn't try repairing it. Might it be corrupt cause Service Pack installation was not able to finish? BSOD errors occurred until Windows didn't bother trying.
Also didn't mention before that when the system is up and running I don't recall having random hangs or BSODs. It seems to be related to system starting up.
memtest still in queue, got to finish some other stuff first.
