    Window 7 keep freezing....


    when i start up my computer it works fine then when i click on a program such as (itunes) the taskbar and start menu freezes and end up freezing my whole computer causing me to have to do a hard shut down (press the power button until it goes off) currently on safe mode because this is the only way i can get on the internet without my computer freezing i just bought this computer in june so now im

    you could try this hotfix from microsoft, i used it a while ago and my freezing issue has stopped.

    A computer that is running Windows Server 2008 R2 or Windows 7 stops responding randomly

    although if you are running sp1 then the hotfix is already a part of sp1.

    did you reboot, it would be advisable to reboot twice.

    Check with your anti virus


    Hey,
    Can you check with the antivirus functionality turned off... It can also lead to one !!

    @boohbah i just did a msconfig and disable all the stuff that startwith my computer n all of a sudden is acting right so i think it was one of the programs i had downloaded that was messing up my computer(oovoo) so i deleted it so far its ok but imma def. keep you posted now it seems like my keyboard is messing up it keeps jumping from one thing to another they just dont make computers like they use too lol i miss windows xp:)

    The recent post of yours rules out the role of an anti-virus freezing your system..

    Since you suspect something you downloaded is causing the issue, i suggest you scan the whole system with the anitvirus.

    ive also tried that but when the scan is done the antivirus system says no viruses was found i use kaspersky and malwarebytes
