BSOD and Missing Windows 7 Activation Status after Clean Install

Hey guys,

I recently installed Windows 7 Professional (x86) 32bit on a Sony VAIO VGN-C15TP that my aunt is using. I tried performing a clean install because the Windows XP Professional 32 bit it originally came with had so many viruses and malware on it because my aunt doesn't know how to use the computer well. After attempting the clean install, I tried getting drivers for the laptop and knew that most of them would only take the Microsoft Update drivers instead of the old Sony Windows XP drivers. There were a few BSODs that occurred that I didn't think too much about because I read another thread that it possibly is related to the NVidia drivers. I have not tried that just yet because now the computer cannot even read the Windows Activation Status of the computer. It tells me "Status Not Available" and "Product ID: Not Available." I can barely get logged-in before it BSOD's on me. The installation was using a student retail version that was free through my university. I will get the system report attached once the computer decides to stop restarting explorer.exe every 5 seconds because it stopped working. I'm not a very technical person, so I will need a full walkthrough of the steps involved if anyone is able to help me. Thanks.
