Continued Blue Screen on New Computer

I just built my own computer, since I've had it I recieve the blue screen indicating a problem with software, the error states windows was shut down please check to ensure any new software was installed correctly. I've had the error since I built it, we ensured that all cords and drivers (including the graphics card) were installed correctly. Can someone please shed some light on this I apologize I don't have the error code exactly next time it happens I will write it down. Also sometimes it happens once a week, other times multiple times a day. The only additional software installed on the computer is an online game League of Legends and skype.

We do need the DMP file as it contains the only record of the sequence of events leading up to the crash, what drivers were loaded, and what was responsible.

You may be able to get the DMP files without crashing by booting into safe mode (F8) with networking.

To enable us to assist you with your computer's BSOD symptoms, upload the contents of your "\Windows\Minidump" folder.

The procedure:

* Copy the contents of \Windows\Minidump to another (temporary) location somewhere on your machine.
* Zip up the copy.
* Attach the ZIP archive to your post using the "paperclip" (file attachments) button.
*If the files are too large please upload them to a file sharing service like "Rapidshare" and put a link to them in your reply.

To ensure minidumps are enabled:

* Go to Start, in the Search Box type: sysdm.cpl, press Enter.
* Under the Advanced tab, click on the Startup and Recovery Settings... button.
* Ensure that Automatically restart is unchecked.
* Under the Write Debugging Information header select Small memory dump (256 kB) in the dropdown box (the 256kb varies).
* Ensure that the Small Dump Directory is listed as %systemroot%\Minidump.
* OK your way out.
* Reboot if changes have been made.

I set up the Minidump drive following your instructions but do cannot find the file to copy, do I need to be in safe mode to view it? The computer works fine just ge tthe random blue screen. I have the exact error message now though which may give you further insight.

A process or thread crucial to system operations has unexpectidley exited or been terminated.

STOP: 10x000000F4 (0X0000000000000003, 0XFFFFFFA80085765F0, 0XFFFFFA8008576800, 0XFFFFF800033978B10)

Let me know about the Minidump Drive as well as if this information helps you better access what is wrong.

Thank You

With certain types of crashes the system doesnt have time to write the DMP file to HD.

You can search for *.dmp. Also look in c:\windows for memory.dmp

Do you have a page file on the same HD as the OS?
