Repeated BSOD, error 0x0000007e, ndis.sys
Windows 7 Home Premium
- x64
- original installed OS on the system
- an OEM
- What is the age of system (hardware)? approximately 50 days
- What is the age of OS installation? approximately 50 days
I had zero problems with this laptop for the first couple of weeks. Then I got one BSOD and thought little of it. A few days later another. A few days later multiple. In the last few days I have a BSOD every time I turn on or reboot my laptop for at least the first 2 or 3 reboots. Sometimes it manages to boot but my network connections will not work. I have read that ndis.sys errors usually deal with the network drivers, but I have tried updating them and as far as I can tell I have the latest drivers for both my wireless and my Ethernet adapters.
I even thought it could possibly be fixed by performing a system restore with my restore discs that I made after getting my laptop. Unfortunately I get an error every time I try to use them so they're no help.
I desperately need some help here. I don't want to part with this laptop to try and have Amazon or MSI or whomever fix it under warranty while I sit around bored for 2 weeks or more.
