BSOD error 3b then error 50 > Page Fault In Nonpaged Area

Hi ,
First i had bsod error 1a Memory_Management about 10 days ago and i reported it here in this topic

and it ended and never came again since then
but now this happened

Hp pavilion dv6 3300 Notebook PC
Intel core i5 M480 2.67GHz
4096 MB RAM
Intel HD graphic card switchable to ATI Radeon 6550 HD
x64 Windows 7 Ultimate Service Pack 1 which isn't the original copy that came with
the device when i bought it

I think you're confused about something ... i don't have Kaspersky right now .. after the first crash ( refered to it in the other topic https://www.sevenforums.com/crashes-d...anagement.html ) i uninstalled it and i now have Microsoft Secuity Essentials ..
I ran memtest before and it showed no errors and i used a stress test called prime95 and no crashing happened .. so should i do this again ??

I do note your attempt to remove Kaspersky sometime after the first BSOD and you were mostly successful. The is one remnant left that needs to be removed AFTER" the underlying causes are found

You have 3 crashes and three different causes.

That is usually a hardware issue to be resolved with memtest and driver verifier.



1-Memtest.

*Download a copy of Memtest86 and burn the ISO to a CD using Iso Recorder or another ISO burning program. Memtest86+ - Advanced Memory Diagnostic Tool

*Boot from the CD, and leave it running for at least 5 or 6 passes.

Just remember, any time Memtest reports errors, it can be either bad RAM or a bad motherboard slot.

Test the sticks individually, and if you find a good one, test it in all slots.

RAM - Test with Memtest86+



2-Driver verifier

I'd suggest that you first backup your data and then make sure you've got access to another computer so you can contact us if problems arise. Then make a System Restore point (so you can restore the system using the Vista/Win7 Startup Repair feature).

In Windows 7 you can make a Startup Repair disk by going to Start....All Programs...Maintenance...Create a System Repair Disc - with Windows Vista you'll have to use your installation disk or the "Repair your computer" option at the top of the Safe Mode menu .

Then, here's the procedure:
- Go to Start and type in "verifier" (without the quotes) and press Enter
- Select "Create custom settings (for code developers)" and click "Next"
- Select "Select individual settings from a full list" and click "Next"
- Select everything EXCEPT FOR "Low Resource Simulation" and click "Next"
- Select "Select driver names from a list" and click "Next"
Then select all drivers NOT provided by Microsoft and click "Next"
- Select "Finish" on the next page.

Reboot the system and wait for it to crash to the Blue Screen. Continue to use your system normally, and if you know what causes the crash, do that repeatedly. The objective here is to get the system to crash because Driver Verifier is stressing the drivers out. If it doesn't crash for you, then let it run for at least 36 hours of continuous operation (an estimate on my part).

If you can't get into Windows because it crashes too soon, try it in Safe Mode.
If you can't get into Safe Mode, try using System Restore from your installation DVD to set the system back to the previous restore point that you created.

Ok now this is big .. i did the memtest
.......
It gave me errors .. the number of errors is more than 16000 error and this is only for 2 passes of the test ..

How it is possible to have this number and my machine is still working ??!!

So should i go on and do the Driver verifier or it is now official that the RAM is damaged ??

If you were testing all the ram at once you can narrow the focus still more by removing all but one stick and re-testing. Memory can handle some errors and still work

Unfortunately .. i have only one 4 gigabyte stick .. anyways my device is a notebook so it will be a problem for me opening it and removing the RAM ..
So , now what ??!!
Should i do driver verifier or is it pointless at this point ????!!!!
And what about that kaspersky problem you mentioned earlier ??!!
Should i replace the RAM or is it okay to use it until it is completely damaged ??
And finally ..
Could that errors in the memtest in anyway caused by a software problem and not a damaged RAM ??!!
Cause i did the memtest a week ago and it showed no errors

Given you appear to have memory problems running verifier would be pointless. You wouldnt know if the ram or a driver was causing the crash
