Multiple BSOD Errors Recently

Hopefully you guys can help me solve these crashes. It usually happens when I play video games. Dota 2, CSS, Battlefield 3 etc.

The computer is about 2 years old including the parts except my graphics card will be updated this wednesday. It is a 64bit Windows 7 Ultimate. AMD Quad core processor 4gb of ram, ATI RADEON 4870x2(Upgrading to 6950)

Hi Brian

there are several things that need fixing. Any one of which can cause your BSOD's


1-ASACPI.SYS

The pre 2009 version of this driver is a known BSOD cause.

Scroll down to the Utilities category, then scroll down to the "ATK0110 driver for WindowsXP/Vista/Windows 7 32&64-bit" (it's about the 12th item down).
Download and install it.
Go to C:\Windows\System32\drivers to check and make sure that the ASACPI.SYS file is date stamped from 2009 or 2010 (NOT 2005).

3-SPTD.sys

Please remove any CD visualization programs such as Daemon Tools and Alcohol 120%.

They use a driver, found in your dmp, called sptd.sys, that is notorious for causing BSODs.

Use this SPTD uninstaller DuplexSecure - Downloads DuplexSecure - FAQ

when you're done you can use this Freeware MagicISO Virtual CD/DVD-ROM(MagicDisc) in its place.

When you have fixed these we can find the underlying cause.
