    'bugcode_usb_driver' bsod

    Hello.

I just got a BSOD saying "BUGCODE_USB_DRIVER" and then it restarted by itself.

I attached the necessary files in zip.

    What should I do?

1-Please remove any CD visualization programs such as Daemon Tools and Alcohol 120%.

They use a driver, found in your dmp, called sptd.sys, that is notorious for causing BSODs.

Use this SPTD uninstaller DuplexSecure - Downloads DuplexSecure - FAQ

when you're done you can use this Freeware MagicISO Virtual CD/DVD-ROM(MagicDisc) in its place.

    2-update these old drivers

    Code:

    How To Find Drivers:
    - search Google for the name of the driver
    - compare the Google results with what's installed on your system to figure out which device/program it belongs to
    - visit the web site of the manufacturer of the hardware/program to get the latest drivers (DON'T use Windows Update or the Update driver function of Device Manager).
    - if there are difficulties in locating them, post back with questions and someone will try and help you locate the appropriate program.
    - - The most common drivers are listed on this page: Driver Reference Driver Reference
    - - Driver manufacturer links are on this page: Drivers and Downloads

Take a name from the list (ie rixdpx64.sys) and google that name plus drivers.

For the above example type "rixdpx64.sys driver" and look at the results. Download it and install

    repeat.

Hello, I tried google of course.. it's a bit hard because there are a lot of results and most of them are unreliable, irrelevant, provide programs and not the actual files.. also I tried going to the official website of RICOH, they don't have drivers?

I was wondering if I could use: driverscanner to update?
Through this site: Driver Identifier - Free Drivers Download - New Version 3.5

Basically, it scans your computer and it shows the drivers and an update option (this scan result below isn't mine):

Drivers for Alienware - m15x - Scan Result ADMZZZZZZ -

Although the problem here is that there are multiple files and I don't know which one is suitable for me. Do the files have to have the same name? rixdpx64? :S

    Thank you.
    Sorry for complicating things.

Driver identifiers often dont have the newest drivers in their database but I suppose if they are newer than what you have at least it is a source.

If what ever drivers you find are not win 7 drivers they need to be installed in compatibility mode.

    Compatibility mode.
    right click the installer>properties>compatibility>chose OS>

    Good luck

In the above exaple the driver is a rixdpx64.sys. Basic Info: Ricoh Memory Card Reader driver.
