    BSOD with uTorrent Open

    Hi Guys,

I've seen a few threads with people having such a problem when uTorrent is open. I have McAfee installed on my system, would that be the cause?

My computer is a Dell XPS 17 with windows 7 64-bit. Here is what I get when the computer is turned on after the BSOD crash:

    Problem signature:
    Problem Event Name: BlueScreen
    OS Version: 6.1.7601.2.1.0.768.3
    Locale ID: 2057

    Additional information about the problem:
    BCCode: d1
    BCP1: 0000000000000028
    BCP2: 0000000000000002
    BCP3: 0000000000000000
    BCP4: FFFFF88001749B2D
    OS Version: 6_1_7601
    Service Pack: 1_0
    Product: 768_1

Files that help describe the problem:
    C:\Windows\Minidump\102211-19780-01.dmp
    C:\Users\Marcelo\AppData\Local\Temp\WER-133209-0.sysdata.xml

We do need the actual DMP file as it contains the only record of the sequence of events leading up to the crash, what drivers were loaded, and what was responsible.

You may be able to get the DMP files without crashing by booting into safe mode (F8) with networking.

To enable us to assist you with your computer's BSOD symptoms, upload the contents of your "\Windows\Minidump" folder.

    The procedure:

    * Copy the contents of \Windows\Minidump to another (temporary) location somewhere on your machine.
    * Zip up the copy.
    * Attach the ZIP archive to your post using the "paperclip" (file attachments) button.
*If the files are too large please upload them to a file sharing service like "Rapidshare" and put a link to them in your reply.

    To ensure minidumps are enabled:

    * Go to Start, in the Search Box type: sysdm.cpl, press Enter.
    * Under the Advanced tab, click on the Startup and Recovery Settings... button.
    * Ensure that Automatically restart is unchecked.
    * Under the Write Debugging Information header select Small memory dump (256 kB) in the dropdown box (the 256kb varies).
    * Ensure that the Small Dump Directory is listed as %systemroot%\Minidump.
    * OK your way out.
    * Reboot if changes have been made.

    Hi,

I've done as required, don't know if it is correct, but anyways, the file is attached.

I didn't enter in safe mode. What I basically did was wait for the pc to crash and attached the minidump folder (which now had something in it, probably about the crash).

    Any help is appreciated!

    Thanks.

This single DMP points to your McAffee. I would remove and replace it with Microsoft Security Essentials

How to uninstall or reinstall supported McAfee consumer products using the McAfee Consumer Products Removal tool (MCPR.exe)
