BSOD/Back screen with sound ar least 1/day while playing FSX others

Good morninig everyone. Sorry to bother you. I've reinstalled my O.S 4 times now.
All components are new. I have a BSOD and a BLACK screen with sound
problem. My keyboard--this is the 3rd board- sometimes stop working, i then receive an USB device warning. I once used Asus AI Suite to do a "fast" overclock and it gave me 3.8MHz and as high as 4.4GHz. I was uncomfortable with 4.4 so,
I went into the "BIOS" and loaded optimized defaults which runs the board at 3.8GHz. The computer is in a room which is airconditioned at a constant 73F.

I have attached all of the requisite files. Including my system specs.
Would you please help me with this problem.

"It's not a true crash, in the sense that the bluescreen was initiated only because the combination of video driver and video hardware was being unresponsive, and not because of any synchronous processing exception".

Since Vista, the "Timeout Detection and Recovery" (TDR) components of the OS video subsystem have been capable of doing some truly impressive things to try to recover from issues which would have caused earlier OSs like XP to crash.

As a last resort, the TDR subsystem sends the video driver a "please restart yourself now!" command and waits a few seconds.

If there's no response, the OS concludes that the video driver/hardware combo has truly collapsed in a heap, and it fires off that stop 0x116 BSOD.

If playing with video driver versions hasn't helped, make sure the box is not overheating.

Try removing a side panel and aiming a big mains fan straight at the motherboard and GPU.

Run it like that for a few hours or days - long enough to ascertain whether cooler temperatures make a difference.

If so, it might be as simple as dust buildup and subsequently inadequate cooling.

your instructions. I have CPU-Z and Real temp and GPU-Z and I do use them. My only question is why do my keyboards keep cutting in an out. I have a Cyber Power UPS and hope it has nothing to do with this. To tell you the truth I was an AMD user 'till the i72600k: I never had these problems with AMD: but then I never overclocked anything before this i72600k.

Alex overclocking is one of the most frequent causes of BSOD's when done incorrectly.

Ken, thank you for the info. I never tried it before because I was usually able to buy the latest and greatest. This time I went with intel and I actually used ASUS's AI Suite II software to overclock. I did not know enough to try it manualy.
Nevertheless, my system is back at optimized defaults and will stay there.

Hi Ken,

just wanted you to know that after uninstalling and using driver sweeper, then reinstalling driver 285.62---checking the option for-"clean install"--I have pushed the PC for days. The problem is gone. It was the video driver, due to my faulty installation technique.
