    BSOD on resume from sleep

    Specs

New install of windows 7 ultimate x64, reformat, old os was a linux variant
older hardware, dual core amd 4200, nvidia gt2 250, 2 gig ram
Besides the windows 7 drivers, I had to install a realtek ac 97 audio driver, which works.
    I installed nvidia's latest drivers.

Computer seems to work when waking up, but it seems to me that the network is trying to reconnect over the LAN and when this doesn't happen the computer will prevent me from opening any other apps or click on anything. Then if I wait long enough, I will get the BSOD and the computer will reboot to a working environment. Very weird!!

I fixed this issue. here it is!

The MB I use is an old Abit ultra with the nforce 4 chipset. You guessed it, windows 7 drivers are the culprit. As soon I installed the legacy drivers from nvidia 15.23 the computer not only boots up faster but it goes to sleep and wakes up on command.

This should probably be sent to microsoft seeing as how it is their drivers that are at fault, but I assume they will do nothing about it since nvidia has even decided to depreciate nfroce 4 chipset. It is how they force you to upgrade your hardware to keep other companies in business.
