Several BSOD errors! IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL , win32k.sys and BAD_POOL_
Hi,
Recently bought a new motherboard (Asus p5g41t-m-lx) , VGA (Asus GT520Silent) and a RAM - kingston 4GB DDR3. Its been a nightmare to get this computer working, I couldnt get it to display anything - the display light was orange.. Anyway after meddling with the
maching got it do display somehow!
Then after installing Win7 (64x) it worked fine for a day and then started getting various BSODs.. (BAD_POOL_HEADER , IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL, win32k.sys)
Got one of them when I tried to login from safe mode.. I know that this is definitely a hardware failure but cant seem to figure out the faulty part..
When I boot up, it gives a message saying new CPU installed and change bios settings (at POST check) . The CPU is core2Quad 2.6GHZ. Have 2 hard drives as well and they are pretty old.. not sure if they cause the BSODs but since I had trouble getting this to display I'm guessing the fault is with the motherboard.. But with all the constant BSODs I'm not sure if its the RAM even..
I'm not sure if I can access the memory dmp files but using bluescreen view I saw that IRQL error was there. Then the next 2 times I read whats on the screen which was bad pool header and win32k.sys
I'd like to know what I should do to find the faulty part and if it could be fixed or whether I ll have to buy new hardware again. (Even though I bought then recently I travelled overseas so I ll have to buy new stuff)
Any help is appreciated, Thanks!
