BSOD caused by Geforce GT555m - nvkflt.sys
Hi there,
A month after getting my new Dell laptop (and a few days after playing GTA IV in high graphics settings), my laptop started with odd explorer crashes and BSOD crashes. This only ever happens when the Nvidia Geforce GT555m is enabled, so if I disable it, no problems.
I've checked the minidump (see attached) of the BSOD and it's caused by nvkflt.sys (which is an NVIDIA driver), so that would make sense. I've uninstalled and (clean) reinstalled a variety of NVIDIA drivers and none of it fixes it.
Any ideas? I thought the most obvious is the graphics card is cooked, but I can get away with 1-2 hours of playing (for example) Skyrim in very high settings completely smoothly before I get the BSOD, so surely it can't manage that if it's cooked??
