I am sorry, but I don't know what else to do besides a complete reinstall. You might google some more to see if you can spot an answer or wait around and see if someone who knows more might be able to help you out. But I wish you the best.

waav,

wouldn't another computer have different hardware to begin with? And I thought this was a problem with MSE deleting a potential system file that shoudn't have been deleted?

Is there a driver problem? And I thought you weren't able to log in to windows at all, not even safe mode because it would hang?

Whoops I meant copying some of the core system files from my other computer to the broken one. The file was in system32/drivers which is why I said driver in the previous post
