Random crashes, corrupt files, & BSOD's

The past two months my computer has turned into a piece of junk... When I start it up, sometime it will randomly freeze and crash. When this happens, everything will be okay and then all of sudden the mouse gets glitchy and if i'm playing music in the background it skips and sounds messed up. And then 30seconds later everything freezes, and music shuts off. Either it will go to a BSOD or just stay there.

Then randomly it just goes to BSOD's.

Also, files are suddenly becoming corrupt. Whenever I start google chrome now, it says some file is corrupt and my preferences cannot be used. And the system is now asking to preform a disk check almost every bootup.

Please help me fix this....

Hello cxw22 and welcome!

We need more information such as a dump file. You can follow the tutorial below to give us everything we need.

Thank you!

Sadly, there's still no dump included. Try looking in your C:/windows/minidump and see if there's any. If so, zip them and upload them.

You probably doesn't have it enabled:

Quote:
Go to Start and type in "sysdm.cpl" (without the quotes) and press Enter
Click on the Advanced tab
Click on the Startup and Recovery Settings button
Ensure that "Automatically restart" is unchecked
Under the Write Debugging Information header select "Small memory dump (64 kB)" in the dropdown box
Ensure that the Small Dump Directory is listed as "%systemroot%\Minidump" (without the quotes)
Click OK twice to exit the dialogs, then reboot for the changes to take effect.

I followed exactly what you said but the Write debugging information says "Small memory dump (256kb)", there's no options for 64kb, but I changed it to 256kb. I restarted and checked the folder and there's still nothing there.....

I have a SSD is that changes anything....

Yes, that'll do the job. Now wait for a BSoD to come and zip the dmp, and I shall analyse it!
