    Logitech webcam 9000 bsod

My i7 PC is blue screening every time I use the logitech webcam pro 9000. Doesnt matter what software. Video displays for a few seconds or couple minutes and then BOOM, BSOD!
I used WhoCrashed to read the dmp file (info copied below). The dmp file is zipped and attached:

On Thu 11/24/2011 3:01:17 AM GMT your computer crashed
    crash dump file: C:\112311-36301-01.dmp
This was probably caused by the following module: ntoskrnl.exe (nt+0xAA590)
    Bugcheck code: 0x1000007E (0xFFFFFFFFC0000046, 0xFFFFF80003B05590, 0xFFFFF88003776EC0, 0xFFFFF88003776F60)
    Error: SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED_M
    file path: C:\Windows\system32\ntoskrnl.exe
    product: Microsoft® Windows® Operating System
    company: Microsoft Corporation
    description: NT Kernel & System
Bug check description: This indicates that a system thread generated an exception which the error handler did not catch.
This appears to be a typical software driver bug and is not likely to be caused by a hardware problem.
The crash took place in the Windows kernel. Possibly this problem is caused by another driver which cannot be identified at this time.

These were related to lvuvc64.sys USB Video Class Driver from Logitech Inc.
    Reinstall the latest please.

If that doesn't "fix the problem" try Driver verifier.

I'd suggest that you first backup your data and then make sure you've got access to another computer so you can contact us if problems arise. Then make a System Restore point (so you can restore the system using the Vista/Windows 7 Startup Repair feature).

In Windows 7 you can make a Startup Repair disk by going to Start....All Programs...Maintenance...Create a System Repair Disc - with Windows Vista you'll have to use your installation disk or the "Repair your computer" option at the top of the Safe Mode menu .

    Then, here's the procedure:
    - Go to Start and type in "verifier" (without the quotes) and press Enter
    - Select "Create custom settings (for code developers)" and click "Next"
    - Select "Select individual settings from a full list" and click "Next"
    - Select everything EXCEPT FOR "Low Resource Simulation" and click "Next"
    - Select "Select driver names from a list" and click "Next"
Then select all drivers NOT provided by Microsoft and click "Next"
    - Select "Finish" on the next page.

Reboot the system and wait for it to crash to the Blue Screen. Continue to use your system normally, and if you know what causes the crash, do that repeatedly. The objective here is to get the system to crash because Driver Verifier is stressing the drivers out. If it doesn't crash for you, then let it run for at least 36 hours of continuous operation (an estimate on my part).

If you can't get into Windows because it crashes too soon, try it in Safe Mode.
If you can't get into Safe Mode, try using System Restore from your installation DVD to set the system back to the previous restore point that you created.

    verifier results

Ok, I ran verifier. Causing it to crash is easy, simply watch video of myself (yes, I'm that ugly )
Here are the results from verifier/query, what now?

a DMP file was not created after the bsod which ran under the influence of driver verify, however, I did attach the one that was created just before running driver verify. That bsod was created in the same way: by running the video capture.
Also, I upgraded the logitec drivers and they are current. The lvuvc64.sys file never changed in the process.

Has this been an issue since you first bought the webcam, or is it a new problem?

Hard to tell. When I first got the cam, it seemed to work fine. Skype would blue screen occasionally but not my other apps. Now everything does when using it.

Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the driver?

    To uninstall and reinstall:
Start Menu->Right Click My Computer->Manage->Device Manager (from list on the left)->Imaging devices->Right click the logitech camera->Uninstall->(If asked to remove software for your driver, check the box) OK->Restart your computer->Reinstall the latest driver.

    yep. I'm a programmer. I'm familiar w/the process :)
I've removed the camera and it's drivers. I also did the same to the nvidia drivers and let windows replace them. Then I used the latest drivers by the manufacturers. Still no luck. Nothing else is dying in the system. If not for the video, it's 100% stable.

Yeah, I would have checked the display driver, as well. I am also a programmer. :) I'll let you know if I come up with anything else. Oh, one other thing that occurred to me when I first read your post; have you tried different resolutions?

I installed FFDSHOW to get all the codecs for video editing (not for the cam but for other vids). I'm going to remove any extra codec that I may have installed just to see if it makes a difference. I'm almost at the point of burning the cam
