I imagine yours is recent enough to not likely be causing the blue screen error. Have you tried the CMOS and BIOS software connection reset outlined in my previous post? It may clean some things up for you. Especially given the memory module swap.
Edit: After doing the CMOS reset, you may have to change your memory settings back to the configuration that you said was providing more stability. Try running without that change first, but if you blue screen, do the resets (CMOS and BIOS software/temporary memory) again, then change the memory settings.
Going to wait a few days, see if I BSOD after removing avira. If I do I will do the cmos/bios reset. Thanks.
Gigabyte tech support said to attempt to load bios F5a. No way.
