BSOD When Plugging USB Into Laptop (Error: 0x0000003B)

Hi, New to this fourms

Whenever i plug a USB into a port, it will simply crash with the error or the device will not appear in My Computers. However, if i plug my external hard drive , everything seems to work.

My laptop is a Windows 7 Home Premium 64 Bit, which is originally installed onto this laptop and came with it baught my laptop this year around July (OEM)

Related to PDFsFilter.sys PerfectDisk OptiWrite Filter Driver for Server from Raxco Software, Inc.

I would remove it to test.

Thanks so much zigzag! Removing it solved my problem of crashing. But just wondering, whenever i connect a usb that caused it to crash, it wouldn't appear in My Computers but it appears in Device Manager

Got it

There are a few possibilities.

Right click the drive in device manager>properties>driver> is it working properly and enabled?

It could be anything. Have the bsod's stopped?

You may be approaching the spot where either doing a repair install or a clean install might be easier and faster.
