Event ID 7001 - question before I even post

Good day,

I've been experiencing some pretty serious, repeated crashes when booting my unit.
Not an orthodox BSOD, just insta-kill, either just before logging on or just after. The system seems to get over it, at least if I reboot into safe mode, but I don't know that I've actually done anything useful there. No malware that I can find.

I've looked at the guidelines for posting about BSODs, but running the 'BSOD Dump & System File Collection' and the System health report has yielded info where many phrases are in Swedish, which is my system language.

The health report includes terms which are outdated as well.

When the crashes occur I get dozens of messages from the SCM about an Event ID 7001, which I can relate briefly:

"The Computer Browser service depends on the Server service which failed to
start because of the following error: The dependency service or group failed to start."

The XML data in the same report is:

<Event xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/win/2004/08/events/event">
<System>
<Provider Name="Service Control Manager" Guid="{555908d1-a6d7-4695-8e1e-26931d2012f4}" EventSourceName="Service Control Manager" />

To avoid bogging you down with more, I should perhaps ask whether anything useful can come of me posting the Windows_NT6_BSOD_jcgriff2 with some Swedish terms? If not, how much trouble am I asking for if I change the system language?
I don't know if that would ruin every file path or just do nothing - or worse, somewhere in between?

Since it wasn't a standard BSOD to begin with, I don't know how if it would help much?
Dump files are activated now, but weren't before, apparently.

Sorry if this is a mess, but I'd like to comply as much as possible to the forum standards but still give you an idea of the problem.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Cheers

We do need the actual DMP file as it contains the only record of the sequence of events leading up to the crash, what drivers were loaded, and what was responsible.

It is almost impossible to spot trends from a single DMP file so if you have more than one please upload them. If you only have one please wait until the computer crashes again then upload both.

You may be able to get the DMP files without crashing by booting into safe mode (F8) with networking.

To enable us to assist you with your computer's BSOD symptoms, upload the contents of your "\Windows\Minidump" folder.

The procedure:
Quote:
* Copy the contents of \Windows\Minidump to another (temporary) location somewhere on your machine.
* Zip up the copy.
* Attach the ZIP archive to your post using the "paperclip" (file attachments) button.
*If the files are too large please upload them to a file sharing service like "Rapidshare" and put a link to them in your reply.
To ensure minidumps are enabled:
Quote:
* Go to Start, in the Search Box type: sysdm.cpl, press Enter.
* Under the Advanced tab, click on the Startup and Recovery Settings... button.
* Ensure that Automatically restart is unchecked.
* Under the Write Debugging Information header select Small memory dump (256 kB) in the dropdown box (the 256kb varies).
* Ensure that the Small Dump Directory is listed as %systemroot%\Minidump.
* OK your way out.
* Reboot if changes have been made.

Thanks a lot, zigzag3143.

The files I uploaded may come from the same crash - a proper BSOD this time, maybe because I enabled minidumps? - because 'BSOD Dump & System File Collection' seems to overwrite itself. If it's cumulative there should be info separated by two crashes. I also fetched a minidump after the last crash.
It's coming up on midnight here and I don't seem to be able to force these crashes - seems like it takes maybe an hour or more for things to turn sour - so I'll leave this until tomorrow my time.
I'm afraid I might have more next time I cold boot.

Again, many thanks for your help.

Cheers

And again. Perfmon, dmp and BSOD Dump & System File uploaded.

This is crazy random, but a change from the last cold boot is that a dongle from Syncrosoft (I think they're called) was attached. I don't think it was absent during previous crashes, though.

Any help would be great.

Cheers

New files, dozens of 7001's for each of two BSODs.

Did get a message in the middle of all of them about an event ID 10005. This is new, as far as I know.

I'll post it without a translation and link to the English Technet page which should fill out anything missing: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/l...8WS.10%29.aspx
Adding a couple more crash reports as well.
