No bsod's yet but i'm not holding my breath

Of all the minidumps only the last one involved the aforementioned two AOL files and, again, it's one I induced by trying to kill the aol processes with task manager. None of the other crashes listed these two files at all. AOL hasn't been run yet so I don't know if renaming them will cause any issues. I'll post an update here, but I have another problem that needs to be posted elsewhere. You should warn people about hitman screwing with the registry when it suggests it's only removed some harmless tracking cookies: turning on windows update, removing or changing other customized settings such as autologon, folder views, mouse controls...VERY frustrating on top of a frustrating problem.
Thanks again for both of your responses and please note it was the application that ticked me off, not your attempts to help solve my pc's issues.

    Understood Jeff and good luck.

Personally I dont recommend hitman or any other 3rd party app like it.

    another bsod

here's the minidump. this was after an install/update of realtek audio, nvidia chipset and graphics driver updates in favor of microsoft's to alleviate a latency issue-but that's another post. also added was net 4 as it's required for the sdk [installed ok] that has some windows performance toolkit for the other problem.
    any ideas?
